The six works in this room are confrontational, honest, and do not seek to hide the truth by making the viewer comfortable. The discomfort is a tool for uncovering the unpopular truth, one which would never change if people weren’t forced to experience the discomfort. The works explore themes of feminism, sexuality, race, abandonment, invisibility in society, and general pain. It is through works of this nature that we get an accurate view of the female experience in society and barriers can be broken.
